The Asheville area has a thriving local chapter, CJJ-West, with a sizable steering committee that meets monthly and several subcommittees working on racial justice, economic justice, green jobs, and other local initiatives. Click here to read more about CJJ-West, and contact Judy or Frank to get involved.
Our focus in 2018 is on immigration and refugees, police accountability, and interfaith advocacy. We need volunteers to support sanctuary churches and more. To get involved with the Wake chapter, contact Josh Orol.
We are active in Durham and Chapel Hill around living wage issues, building interfaith alliances with the Muslim community, and forming a burgeoning racial justice committee. We are also gearing up to defend democratic rights, expand the vote, and make sure all North Carolinians’ voices are heard in the 2018 elections. To get involved with the Durham/Chapel Hill area steering committee, contact Meredith Cohen.
